Default Feedback in my subs....help

Well when i turn my cd player my subs make a loud crack and then will hum. When acclerating the hum gets louder. Sometimes in between songs the subs will hit like there is music but theres nothing coming out. Any suggestions? Im stumped

sounds like alternator whine and a little bit of turn-on pop.


Check a few things - Make sure your grounded at a single point, and that the ground is made well - by well - i mean, the paint is sanded underneath - you've tested it to be low resistance in continuity with a known ground - AND it's terminated properly.

Make sure your amp chassis is not touching bare metal.

If your deck is not mounted yet - consider testing a different pair of rca's....

depending on how your diagnoses goes (it's a step by step process) - You might want to also try putting a noise supressor on your power lead.


-Try one thing at a time starting with your grounds.

About your subs hitting with no music - sounds like a perfect case of bad wiring - also check your remote wire, make sure its secure and your amp is not just turning on and off while you drive.
