Can't get freakin pass. side axle in Tranny WTF!!
just finished everything on my swap, after putting my driver side axle in, that was pretty simple just slid right in. Now I go too the passenger side, and wtf? I go in put it in it would not budge? is there a trick or something? I went and banged it in but when i did get it in after about 50 shots with my hammer. I can't even thread on my axle nut. This made me wanna shoot my self in the toe. Does anyone know propper way or techniques on how too do this without banging the crap out of my axle?
ok.. well...
first if ur gonna bang on the axle... u should have put the nut on there first so u dont mess up threads.
second.. are u sure u have the correct axle?
if so, i find it easier to install if u have the shock/ spring out of the way, and have someone holding the knuckle back out of the way too... then u can easily move the axle around...
its not so easy to install the axle while tryin to hold the knuckle back and hold the shock/spring where u need it all at the same time.....
if all the **** is outta ur way... u can spray some kind of lubricant (wd40) on the spline and gently try to slide it in there... u might have to wiggle it or something...
(sounding kinda freaky huh
)
just gotta know how to work it.
lol

cool..i'll take my time tommorro and try too wiggle this **** in..Also when i went too buy the axle from parts store, would it matter if it was abs or non abs? would it fit any better? the axle i had trouble was the abs inetgra axle.
abs or no abs would matter.
at work i got a autozone axle to put in a accord. FOR THE LIFE OF me i could not get it in. Then i decided to swap the circlips on the end of the axle that goes into the tranny and walaa. bingo perfecto. that was my problem.
