Default smog question???

I am due for smog soon, my mods are

skunk2 stage 1 cams
skunk2 cam gear
vortech fpr
dc headers/exhaust
p28 skunk2 chips
running on b16 tranny.

what do I have to change to pass smog??? I pretty much have all the stock parts, but don't have the cams, will the skunk 2 stage one pass??? give me any other advice as to remove???? thanks

Might be tough in cali, but i am facing a similar problem. MD has pretty strict emissions (not like cali), and i am not liking my chances of passing.

are the cams tuned?
the fpr my not pass visual..
header is fine as long as the EO number/carb number is on there
use a stock ecu, chipped ecus run richer
tranny doesnt matter

some people say that stage 1 will pass smog but not too sure. what do you guys thing??? I still have the stock cam gear. fpr, header exhaust, ecu, but I'm just afraid of the cams and working on the cams.

Main concern is have anyone went through smog with a stage 1 cams???

you'll pass fine w/ the skunk2 stage 1's..........the thing thats going to make you fail is probably the fpr, and for damn sure the chipped p28 w/ the skunk2 program!!! get a stock gsr ecu, tune your fpr so its pretty much back to stock, and then you should be fine if your stock cat is still in ok condition!

if you can, set the cam gears back to 0 on both intake and exhaust side....thats if they are tuned.....also, check your timing!

do you have a full valve cover and the plastic cover? that should help them NOT be able to see the cam gears

I think the real question is where you go. Some SMOG guys are just nicer than others. If you goto a ghetto part of town, to some dumpy looking run down place that just so happens to run SMOG checks, you will probably be fine with what you have. If you goto the nice part of town, where SMOG checks are a regular thing for that particular shop, you are going to have problems. Thats just my $0.02 though.
Good luck.
