Default best basic mods for a b18c1?

I know the basics, I just want to get it from the source though... what are the best basics for an obd2 b18c1? Oh, I mean past i/h/e obviously. Cams and head work? IM? lets hear it.

After I got my i/h/e I went for cams. Next up IM and tuning. Well I did all the suspension stuff too. If all you have is i/h/e try for springs/shocks and upgraded rear sway.

Throttle body and intake manifold. Cams, gears, tuning. ECU upgrades. That would be the way I would do it. I did just the I/H/E setup, I wish I would have saved some money, and went that route. The gains are pretty small with just I/H/E.

Your looking at a Skunk2 Intake Manifold then some cams. As far as cams it depends on your power goals (midrange- ITR/CTR cams) (top end -Skunk2 Stage 1-3, Toda cams, Jun cams). Then, you have to look at upgrading your valvetrain to handle reving higher then the stock GSR redline, which you will have to do to see the potential of those cams. With cams of course comes cam gears so you can get the most out of them at dyno. At the dyno you do some ECU chipping and along with your intake, header, cat and exhaust you should see some good numbers. You obviously need engine management (VAFC, Hondata, etc), for tuning purposes. As far as headwork any reputable shop or hit up a shop online, but expect to pay a shitload of money. I got DPR Stage 6 headwork on my GSR head when I had my all motor setup and it ran me $1,950...it was one of the best packages for headwork available though. I got 190whp out of my GSR with just ITR cams on a stock bottom end, stock cam gears, stock ecu and injectors. Was only tuned for the vtec crossover and the fuel was untouched. Easily a 200whp setup tuned and finished being modified.

Be prepared to spend a shitload of cash.
