Default help a newbie build a single cam..

hey guys im new here..hope to increase my knowledge...anyways heres the thing im intrested in building up my d16 just the basic eg si motor.. but i wouldnt no where to start? this week im gettin my ecu chipped to improve little things here and there but nothing that special. My motor is completely stock with just a basic short ram intake. Im located in toronto, canada and just not sure parts are good and what is the correct way? inform a newb :D

holy **** nice car... and here is some advice - the only effort that should be put into a D series... is REMOVING IT

Unfortunately, yes. Single cam performance is decent, but I couldn't spend money on a single cam motor. I would rather save up for a b-series.

well i'd get some p29 pistons, change the rings and main bearings with oem ones, get a good cam such as zex/comp 59300 or crower2 go with a good 4-1 header, skunk2 i/m, itr t/b....get some other stuff like fpr,maybe vafc but thats a good setup oh and you can go with different pistons if you want a low c/r.

modified yer setup with a more expensive one

Hmmm, get your a header(DC), exhaust(your pick), camshaft(Crower or Comp), camgear(pick one), fpr, vafc, dyno. Hopefully you make 120+. Better yet get a turbo kit for like 2-3k.

I might be building a single cam also my friend. I"m shooting for 160whp.

Cory-who already has a b16 in his hatch and is about to go in reverse to meet weight requirements.
