I've wired everything according to the install manual but there's a small problem with the VTM signal. As I understand it, you have to cut the MAP wire to the ecu and install a plug receptacle on the wire going to the ecu....and that wire plugs into the blue wire from the harness. That's all fine and everything, but according to that you have to tape off the other end of the MAP sensor wire and not use it. Right off the bat this throws a cel 3 code.....MAP sensor. I've gone through the setup 3 times now and tinkered with a few small settings, but it seems to me that you have to land this wire SOMEWHERE so the signal can get to the VAFC in order for it to modify the signal sent to the ecu.

On a side note, the VTC wire (light blue) isn't landed due to the fact that the booklet says that it's only for i-VTEC engines. That said, I landed the orange wire on the TDC signal and left the light blue wire taped off. Now, under the sensor check screen, the CMO light flashes but the TDC light doesn't. Did they have a misprint in the manual or is my unit possessed?

Currently I unplugged the blue wire for the VTM signal and tied the MAP sensor wire back to it's spot so I can drive without pulling any cel codes. Can someone point out my problem please? I've gone to their website but they only have the operation manual listed....not the wiring manual. The FAQ doesn't help much either..... Oh yeah, I'm running a D16Z6 with a P28 unchipped ecu. I just rewired the harness and ecu from obd 0 to obd 1 since the motor is in my '90 hatch.
