What is VAFC? (sorry if i sound dumb)
Im wondering what VAFC is, i know it stands for Vtec Air Flow Converter,
so it does something with the air and fuel from what i can gather, but what does it do, how muhc does it cost? where can i get it? what kind of gains do i get? how hard is it to install?
thanks

a VAFC adjusts the air:fuel combustion mixture and gives a tuner control of the AF ratio. adjusting this can make your engine more efficient and finely tuned to the mods you may have on your car that change the parameters that the factory tuned ECU is running on. an added plus with a VAFC is that it allows you to change the engagement point of VTEC to a more ideal setting. Stock VTEC engages fully at 5250 rpm, but sometimes with engine mods it would be ideal to set this lower or higher. an SAFC only controls air/fuel and not vtec.
a vafc is the most basic fuel management system, and is ideal for light engine builds (aka bolt-ons and mild NA builds). After installing one, you'll want to get it dyno tuned by a reputable shop. typical gains from a VAFC tune on a bolt-on build can range anywhere from 5-15 whp, IIRC, and will change your hp/tq curves to your liking (aka flatter).
searching will bring up more info.
anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. good luck.
