The cruise control in my car went out recently and cant figure out what happened. I checked all the fuses down below and are fine. I checked the switch to see if i was constant power with the key in and the key out. Im getting power from one wire behind the switch but thats all, even with the switch turned on and off. I checked for power at the cruise control box in the engine bay. Ive found that im not getn any kind of power from the harness hooked up to the box.

What can be wrong? Where is the relay for the cruise control? Id like to check that out. Also is there anything else that i can check to troubleshoot?

 

there might be something wrong with the box internally...let me know if it is.

 

Could possibly be your cable reel assembly - that is what carries the electrical signal from your buttons in the steering wheel.

 

How would i know that the box itself is broken?

 

And how can i trouble shoot the cable reel assembly?
