The cruise control ECM is under the hood release lever & interior fuse box.

It needs VSS info to work so check that before replacing the cruise ECM. GL

But if the speed sensor was malfunctioning, my speedometer would'nt work.

I've made sure the lil stops on the clutch and brake pedal are working the switches, I've replaced the cruise control switch that is on the steering wheel and I've replaced the cruise control box that connects to the pedal that sits in the engine compartment. I have to fiddle with the switch, but I can get the cruise control light to come on... just no cruise.

If the VSS wasnt working, my speedo wouldnt work. There arent any fuses for this and I don't have any blown fuses anyway. All thats left is the cruise ECU.

Right?

It would be unusual for the cruise ECM to go out but stranger things have happened. It may also be that there's a broken connection somewhere. If you can borrow a cruise ECM to see if that's the problem, that would be helpful. Aside from trying out another ECM, the only thing to do is alot of testing with a meter to find where the signal stops. If the speedo is correct then the VSS is working but it doesn't mean that the VSS signal is making it to the cruise system.
