weird tach

Or your connectors could be dirty, Happened to me.

Don't go and spend a bunch of cash on a new ignitor, it's just a waste of $$ if your connectors maybe aren't tight.
Check your connectors, had 4564 people tell me to switch it, but the problem was the connectors were jsut loose. Tighten them first and see what happens. My ignitor happened to also be 122,000 miles old, and still works.
EDIT: also does your car boggle when this happens?? If not maybe it has to do w/ something else especially if you mentioned that it happend when you installed another tach. Anyways i saw plenty of topics about this, just search
