hope u guys can settle this... i live in cali and a friend with and eg got pulled over he has a aem fuel regulator and the cop gave him a ticket and said he had to go to the ref.
i didnt think those were illegal or anything so are they or not or was the cop just a dick
what about fuel rails too?

 

well they don't void your cars factory warranty I know that, so I don't see how they can't be street legal.

have carb legel stickers for everything

 

FPR, Fuelrails, 450cc injectors, VAFC, etc. anything that has to do with giving more fuel other then stock is ILLEGAL

I went to the ref for my exhaust ticket and they used my VAFC for the RPM meter and they said that if i had that for the smog test i would fail visuals. So unless if it has a CARB number its illegal.

 

must suck there, i live in florida and we dont have any laws like that =D

yeh they say its illegal cuz when you increase the fuel pressure and rate...it adds to the pollution your car is putting out

CARB blows whale ****, some use the VAFC to lean fuel back, but those shiteaters wouldn't know the first thing about that.

 

so, having a VTEC controller will result in a failure? I'd better wait a little longer to install mine then.

I live in SoCal and have visited FL. I can tell you that no matter what our smog laws are like it's still waaaay better than living in FL
