My "Maintnence Required" light came on in my 95 GSR?? What the hell does it want from me? I got about 159k miles on it.

 

more than likely, it just needs to be reset. the switch is under the dash.

 

or it means u need an oil change

The light only means that its been 7500 miles since the last time it was reset. It doesn't necessarily mean that anything is wrong with the car.

 

Under the dash below the steering wheel on my car anyways. There is a little button. Turn your ignition on(don't start it) and hold that button for a few seconds and it should turn off. It's just a factory thing so the dumby that never changes there oil knows it's time.

 

take out your console and take the damn light bulb out and youll never have that problem again.

 

ok, i change my oil every 3k miles......... yeah i found the button...... it worked.... i also knocked the little thingy outta my kill switch...... and thought u people made me push the "kill your car button" when she wouldnt start up L0L..... yeah it took me about 15 seconds to figure it out.......

 

the button is actually part of the maintenance unit itself... pull the panel down and just unplug it....no more problems...easier than pulling out bulbs IMO.

 

where exactly is the button located to reset it

something is wrong so you bring it in

 

The light is dere to lure you back to the stealership to have more money sucked out of your wallet.
