Hey, one of my friends just noticed that when he turns his car on, the maint light flashes about 10 times and then goes off....he said it's something new. It's a 95 teggy with 135k miles, any idea what this could be.....?????? TIA

 

its just a maintenance light. goes on every 30K miles?

there s a button under the dash which you can press to turn the light off or stop it from blinking.

 

It actually comes on every 7500m. The light is just there as a reminder to do general maintnence ie( oil change, rotate tires). There is a button located under the steering wheel to the right. If you hold it for 5 seconds? it should go off.

Correct. It's just an idiot light that comes on every 7500 miles between resets. It doesn't mean anything is wrong.

yea its just a button under the dash, everyone flips out about it and thinks somethins wrong

 

yeah, that's actually kinda a cool little feature, part of me wishes that civic had those, but oh well.....just another mess of wiring under the dash..
