nitrous on my car ????
Im going to put a wet kit on my car nitrous express and i was wondering what the timming and fuel pressure needs to be set at and if there is any other things i need to get to be safe with it i have a lsvtec in a crx it is converted to obd1.....
n2o is the devil, dont do it.
Its kind of hard to answer this question when you dont really tell us what else you are running. Stock everything? What kind of shot?
p.s. stay away from n2o

Get your-self a good fuel mng system if you dont' have one. retard your timming 2 degrees. and get some colder plugs. If you do your fuel system right there is not much of anything to worry about unless someone did up your block really chity
have fun!
have fun!
on stock bseries we have ran 75shots all day long from an ls to a b18c5. if your block is built then u can go with a higher shot but id make sure your af is perfect
i suggest you buy a NOS book and learn......but NOS is the cheapest HP you can add to your motor. More bang for your buck than any other mod......People say stay away from it cause they dont know **** about it. Setup correctly and engine is maintained, its the way to go without any troubles. My friend ran a NX 55HP wet kit on his 98 CX hatch with the stock D16 and smoked a lot of swapped cars....
He didnt touch anything as far as fuel pressure etc....already has the extra fuel solenoid for the intake.

i ran a 50shot nx on my car for a fat minute with stock fuel and stock everything. mista-bone has a 75shot and is doing rather well for a dmotor. look him up hes on this forum

LOL
I ran 75 shot Zex dry kit on a bone stock LS for almost a year with out a single problem...Pulled the timing 2 deg...NGK ZFR7F-11 plugs and an S-AFC for a bit of extra fuel. Compression tested at a dead even 180 all the way across the board when I sold it.

I may not know a whole lot about alot of things but i do know nitrous, from experience, books blown motors, and hi 12 sec motors.
In a wet setup, retarding timing 2 degrees is enough for 50 shot, but if you plan to run bigger.. remember this: for each additional 10 "shot" you give the motor, retard the timing 1 degree. If not detonation is not far away. Although some people have run succsessful off of the 2 degree retard, its not the safest thing because with all that extra combustable material inside the cylinder walls, one good spark is all it takes (trust me) to melt pistons to valves. In my case, both intake valves on no. 3 cylinder on dohc zc.
For gods sake dont let your right foot get the best of you and temp to bounce off the rev limiter either. that brief lack of fuel with the addition of all that nitrous spells ca-put also.
Treat your motor like wifey and not a smeeze, give respect and keep after it, and it will keep after you. Unless you just got that kind of money
