Default ITR tire wear...

The dealer told me the stock tires should last around 10k. The manual says no more than 15k. I currently have over 12k and the tires still look very good. When did everyone else's tires need replacement?

you're not driving hard enough then...if you have many highway miles, this will be the case...

We have 15k on ours, and the fronts are worn exactly 1/32 of an inch.. the rears show no wear...

The car is totally street driven, mostly by my wife who baby's it.. I have smoked the tires a few times but really, the point is to learn to launch with as little tire spin as possible,so smoking em proves very little... probably one or two autocrosses will do them in but when I do that next year, I'll get different rims/tires.

My guess is that yopu and I will probably have fewer breakdowns in the long run, cause neither of us beats the car up... yet heh heh

This has been discussed here before, with lots of folks reporting on their treadlife with the stock tires:

I have 12k miles right now but my tires were gone when it was 8k. Back at 8k I couldn't even punch it in first, it would just spin the tires. Now at 12k my tires are a hazard for me especially when it is raining right now.
