How long can stock tires (Bridgestone RE010) last?
Hi, just want to know in general how long can Bridgestone RE010 last? I've been to one track even (didn't drive alot) + regular daily driving... now I have around 7,000 km on those tires, but last night they broke traction in 2nd gear... (I assumed tires were warm up cause they were driven for 30 mins before this happened). Is this normal for R to break traction on 2nd with these tires?

Ive had mine for 22,000 miles now, and they're still holding up. Although I do switch them out in the winter, so I'm not sure what the actual mileage is. Probably 15,000. But yep, I can break them lose in second, and chirp third(sometimes)!

I have almost 7000 miles on mine and two track events and they are starting to go. Definately once I get back to school in AZ I will start looking for some new tires.
Oh, and on my last Type-R they lasted til about 10,000 miles I think. But those ones had no track events...

I have 34K KM on mine with original RE010's...No track driving. My tires will usually spin slightly in 2nd gear...no chirp...and not for very long.
Mine lasted ~22500km
A friend had his last ~56,000km
He used his car for a long daily commutes... I use my car for track events and some commuting.
25,000km is about the avg.

I usually get about 20,000 miles out of mine, and I beat the **** out of them on a daily basis. Be careful when you are buying new RE010's though, another Type-R friend of mine says that they make two versions of the RE010's. One for the Type-R and one for the front tires of the NSX, which are cut differently. If you use the NSX version, they can wear down much faster

dammit, i'm lazy to do the conversion.
i got about 22k miles outta mine..they were very bald, but no cords...i was very pleased. i threw on yoshi's OEM tires (estimated 6-7k miles) after for the expo, and those things are nice and beatup after lance and i put like 3-400 track miles on them..
i'll use them for the next few autocrosses, then start depleting my garage supply of new re010s...huhu...
-k-b0t, who prolly bought too many tires that one time...

-who is installing a set of used RE-010's this week
it's really just two sets of new tires, and i'll prolly have to mount up one set here sometime in the fall, depending on potential track stuff. i got those b00gers when they were all cheap and sexy at tirerack for just over a franklin, and couldn't pass up the deal. i'll just keep 'em, holmes. they make my garage look more "car-guy-ey" right? huhu...

sorry man, but I did one with "RE 010", nothing returned.... my fault
Yeah, one of the weird quirks of the search function on this site is that any term you search on needs to be at least four characters - which means you can't search on "gas", "oil", "NSX", etc. So you gotta think of words with 4+ characters to search on...
