Default Just bought a 97 hatchback DX, now some questions

It was raining really hard in my area. When I open the trunk today, I found lots of water inside the trunk. Does anyone know what might be the problem for the leaking?

seals around the rear hatch, thats really about it...unless the side windows have some way of letting the water in. Shouldnt be coming from the tail lights i dont think.

95% of the time it is from the taillights. Has the car had body work done? Was it rear ended? Just had my 98 hatch fixed and it was coming in through the driver side taillight.

yea. it's one of those standard features that comes on 96-00 hatches. re-seal everything. especially the tail lights. my friend's spare area was FULL. he could have had fish living in there.

I think they all do it and I dunno what to do about it. I think some water may be coming from the little holes in the bottom of the trunk also....

the hatch seal still looks good and soft. The hatch doesn't look like it is mis-aligned. If it is the tail light, how can I get it fixed?
