bumpy ride
hey i have a 90 civic dx i cut my springs to lower it and now i cant drive over 55 because it seem that i have a real bad unbalanced wheel but theyve all been balanced good anyways my front end just doesnt like any speed over 55 can anyone help i have checked everything ?????
my suggestion is to get a real set of lowering springs. The springs that come with the car are mean't to be that length. You would likley be able to get rid of your bumpy ride even with a cheap set of springs, since your into a good "deal"
I would imagine it does it when you get past 55, because the car is slightly being lifted by the air flow coming against your car, I can't say this as a fact, but I would imagine it would be somthing of that nature. Since there isn't as much downforce holding your car the road, it allows the car to start shaking, this is just my opinion. I imagine you could find a half-decent set of springs on ebay for a resonable price
Blind leading the blind, lol.
Ok, first things first. Get a real set of lowering springs. That's all there is to it.
When you cut your springs, you raise your spring rate and create an uncomfortable ride for you and your passengers. That and you can really **** up your car. You can get 3" drop springs for $200 that have a decent ride.

Yup, half-fast work makes for a half-fast resolt.
