Default Lowering compression question

Will lowering the compression on a USDM GSR (10:1) to 9:1 make the drive significantly different? I just put my motor back in and it feels like it's bogging when I get on the throttle. Please help. Yes I did search.

yup . . . lowering the compression will def. take some power away, but a power adder when taking compression away is BOOOOOOST!

Add some part throttle timing and lean out the fuel maps below -10 Hg to compensate for the lower thermal efficiency.
