My friend's 95' GSR with Type R engine's Vtec was working a couple weeks ago, and then all of a sudden it's not working anymore. He's gonna have it checked out but we're wondering what some general reasons for it not working could be?
We know oil pressure and that maybe his VTEC controller might be wired wrong, but it was just working a little while ago, so we're just wondering where to start looking.

um, did he check oil level?

 

change the oil,did u mess around with the vtec controller?if u did just set it back to stock and see how that is...are there any codes thrown?

 

I just asked him if it's sending any codes, so i'll have to wait and see what he says, but i know he checked the oil level and it's fine, but i'll have to find out more. I don't think he's changed the oil yet, which even if it's not the problem, would be a good idea none the less. Thx again guys

 

make sure the engine is warm when u hit vtec. It doesnt work when its cold. good luck
