the thing is that i have 95 gsr but i think my vtec is not kicking in it suppose to kick in 5000 or 5500 but i dont hear the crossover can anyone help me to check if my vtec is working with out going to a mechanic right now

 

is your check engine light on.....

 

sounds dumb, but did you check your oil? Low oil/pressure with cause the VTEC not to come on.. if you CEL is on pull the code and see what it says.
