Default Vtec help????

OK so my friend has Like a 95 lude. It had that single cam in it. Well he just put an H22 in it and his Vtec dosn't work..... Every thing is right as far as the swap goes....

I heard he should just get a vtec controller..... '

Any thoughts????

VTEC solenoid needs to be wired to the ECU.

vtec controller wont fix it, all it does is u can set the vtec to ingauge at whatever RPM u want from 3000 and up

does it throw any codes..and no a v tec controller want solve anything...you cant get it and expect to control when v tec hits when its not working from the jump.

Tell him to check his oil, his VTEC solenoid, and his wiring.

make sure the oil pan is not dented. it could block the oil pickup. it has happened to me.

yes make sure you have enough oil, vtec won't engage otherwise. If that was the problem though, you might be coding for it.

well check the ground....theres no way everything is fine and its still not working..theres something wrong.
