heating up bent rim?
I bought some 5 Zigen Division 3's, and 1 has a bend in it. Its on the inside of the rim. Is it possible for me to heat up the area where the bend is and use a rubber mallet or something else to carefully knock it back into place? ANyone ever try this before?
i've hammered a rim back into place before...
got a piece of /dense/ wood (don't remember exactly what kind). with a sander i shaped the end of it into the curvature of the rim. then put it on there and beat the dent back in.
worked well. looked like nothing had ever happened.
:edit: probably dont wanna put a torch to it. (unless there's no tire on there)

Actually im gonna get new tires, the guy had them on his S13 and theyre staggered and bald
I was thinking of heating it up with a torch, then using a small mallet and like, a piece of wood or something to dampen the impact of the mallet to bend it back. Thanks for the info
