short shifter install problem: need help.

Default short shifter install problem: need help.
how does the rubber boot go back onto the shifter? pulled it off, and honestly don't remember exactly how it goes back on. Anyone have a pic or anything?

ok i found out how the rubber goes on, now for the metal plate.

does the metal plate go around the white pivot ball bushing in the rubber boot, or does it fit just below it???
