SRS light, not CEL!!!
stayed on when i started the car, turned the key off, started again. went out. about a month later, did it again, but never went back out. reset ecu and started it.

i checked the code and it gives 7 long flashes, 3 fast. HELP!

im tring to sell the car and want everything working first!

code 73? cylinder 3 misfires?

 

I got the same code on my Civic. I replaced the plugs, cleaned up the dist cap, made sure the rotor was in tact, reset the ecu and that took care of the code 73!

huh? not CEL.... SRS... airbags light thanks though

 

get a Helm for your car and troubleshoot it

 

i dont have time or money to get a helms manual. cant somebody just tell me what the helms says?

^^^^^ yea thats nice bud. but read it through... dont have a CEL. i have an SRS light for the AIRBAG!

and thanks anyway man.. anybody else? this needs to be fixed in the next two days or so

 

Chiovnidca (1:59 AM 5/27/2004): SRS code 7-3 Indicates an internal failure of the SRS control unit. But it's usually caused by low battery voltage. Have you needed to replace the battery or jump start it? Try clearing it and see if it recodes.

SOHC b00st (2:19 AM 5/27/2004): yea. i have a horrible battery..heh.. if you leave the lights on for about a full minute when not running, or the fan on(blower) for about 2 minutes with key off its dead as crap.

 

ill just go buy a new battery and add that to my new parts lists i guess.. hope it works
