The mount flexes less than the stock one, under load. What that means is that the engine shifts less due to the torque, because the mounts are less flexible. I'm not sure how bad everything would rattle, but you would feel more vibrations.

Yes, the Energy and Prothane ones vibrate IF you install the rear mount.

I have the Mugen kit. Very nice, very subtle vibration at idle. Almost soothing.. heh. Real nice quality kit.

Mugen or ES? have you felt the difference on both? You recommend leaving out the rear mount insert if going with ES bushing?

I installed the left and right mounts in the ES kit. The extra vibration at idle is noticeable, but not very much. Handling is a little crisper and wheel hop is all gone. The extra vibrating is definitely worth it. I haven't tackled the tranny mount, b/c I hear that's tough to install, and I hear the rattles go up a lot more with the 3rd insert in place.

At WOT, my car does accelerate faster from a standstill, primarily because wheel hop is gone, which allows the tires to grip better. I got the mounts for about $40 and installation isn't very difficult, but it can be a little frustrating if you don't know the "tricks". Once you learn the "tricks" to installing the driver's side mount, it should take about 1.5-2 hours to install the front 2 mounts.

i have the spoon mounts. THey are noticabily more stiff than stock mounts. I like them because they are still rubber. I heard that they are stiffer than mugens but i am not sure. I replaced all 5 mounts with spoon. Have fun with the rear mount if you don't pull out your motor. Throttle response greatly increased. I paid around 350 for the mounts.

It is difficult to unbolt the 3 driver side upper mounts to lower the engine b/c the power steering line runs directly over the bolts, and a ratchet with a deep socket cannot fit over the bolts. The trick is to slide the power steering pump down, unhook the p/s belt, then slide the pump all the way up. The p/s line should be high enough to give enough clearance for a ratchet and deep socket. It's not really a "trick," just something that didn't occur to me at first.
