Default I got owned!!!!! Bad Luck Day!

OK! Here's the story:

I was doing some endurance racing for fun with some of my friends around a track and on a turn was when it happened. Yeah stupid of us, but...I was on 2nd gear going around 4-5k rpm. Just when i shift to 3rd gear I heard a soft popping sound. The motor stopped and my car rolled to a stop. I tried starting it on the way, but it just cranks and no start, so I know the axles are not caught or anything...must be the tranny/clutch. Any ideas what might have happened?

*no leak of any kind that i see

Later i got the tow truck guy and he started doing his thing. While he was hauling my car up, my car slipped and there goes my front lip cracked on both sides & my front bumper loose on the fenders!!! The guy started complaining about low cars LOL. He towed it to my friend's house. Then he told me to talk to his boss about it so the company can repay the damage. I was a "nice" guy and take it like a man and told him forget about it. Yeah i could have got myself a $300-400 worth of damage. oh well. Then we towed it to my friend's street.

Here are some pics:

My slowpoke taken today:

Fender gap...i fixed it a bit:

Left side lip crack (hard to notice, but it's there):

the famous middle finger. sorry i was pissed!

Video of the haul...before that slip happened (sorry no sound because stuff we say are stupid):
Right click....save as....

Good thing i bought my b16a a few weeks ago...it's now sitting in my friend's garage. Should I do the swap OR sell it and get myself a GSR?

Here's a link to my b16a threads:

I know what you all must be thinking, but I got owned today I can admit that.

You're a complete moron (or a coward) for not taking free money.

Nothing nice or manly about it, just retarded.

I hope it wasn't your timing belt... Cranking it again is the worst ie bent valves. Yank the motor and drop in your b16....

Check the belt. Check the distrubutor. Hell check the fuses...probably in the reverse order...lol.

DUDE I wont berate you about the money thing but when someone damages your vehicle then take the money for the damages. Im assuming you were so bummed out and stressed that you decided to finish off the day with one last abuse. Luckily this is a cheap lesson for you. Next time someone damages your vehicle, home, dog, lawnmower whatever have them fix it.

Good luck with the fix.

My experience with lowered cars is regular tow trucks are ****... get yourself a flat bed tow truck that is acceptable for lowered cars. It usually cost a little more but the damage would have been prevented.

Exactly. sorry about that clarrification. I said "stupid of us". I'll take it to the real track next time (autoX somewhere this summer hopefully).

about the free money or why i didn't take it. it's just me. the guy had a hard day, so did i. at least i got a FREE tow because the guy gave the money back for damaging my bumper/lip.

edit: i'm doing a 2dr/hb front bumper conversion sometime in the future anyway. check my sig.

Check the distributor, sounds just like what happened to me last week. Coil burnt up in a hurry.

well he was doin the tow truck driver a favor cuz most likely he'll get it from the upper management if he filed a reimbursement on it.

i would have filed it if the driver was an *** though.
