I just bought a JDM B16a sir2 from a member on here and just wondering what this part is called:



thanks in advance. a motor mount fit on there.

EDIT:

yeah my so called "complete swap" came with:

-THIS cutted!
-cut shift linkage
-cut driver and passenger axles
-no motor mounts of any kind
-cut hoses
-etc.

looks like a cut tranny bracket/mount. should be held on w/ 3 bolts

 

i should have went with HMotorsOnline

 

looks like they dropped that motor in a hurry. Either its stolen, or they are dealing in high volume!

I haven't begin swapping it and running it yet. Still need to buy some parts for it. I hope the engine is good as the seller say it is. What do you think?

 

yeah when i bought my h22 motor there were alot of **** that was just cut..

 

it does look liek a clean motor tho..

 

if its going to be a while before u drop it in your car, i'd suggest opening it up and takin a peak inside to see what condition everything is in. as someone said already, it looks like it was pulled either in a hurry or the person who pulled it is doing a high volume of sales and just knows what to cut and not to cut. i'd be kinda upset if i wanted to keep PS and had to go find a new hose cause the seller cut it. it looks kinda shadey to me... then again i'm REALLY paranoid and don't trust anyone.

 

its not really that uncommon to have motormounts cut on a swap. depending on what yard it came from they will usually just cut them out because its not worth their time to take it apart nicely.

i'm not saying he's a bad seller...just a little untrustworthy sometimes on what he quoted. although i can almost trust him. good guy to talk to?

post of the pic's he sent you, and right there, id say he was a bad seller.

im selling a motor and i posted pics of the actual motor, and have all over the post that what you see is what you get and, when i get PM's i tell them exactly what it comes with.

this guy seems like he might be bringing motors over or selling them for some one who is, in which case he should know whats up. even if he isn't there is no way you can call it an honest mistake, when he said it comes with shift link and the **** is cut.

Outward appearance of the motor looks fine but thats not the "tell all" of a JDM swap. I have seen many people get deals like that and that is really unfortunate that it came that way.

If I got a swap with cut linkage, mounts and axles I would be pissed. Hopefully it will be a strong motor for you
