your synchro is most likely finished.
all you can do is to rebuild the tranny.
unless it's really bad, don't worry too much about it. the car is 13 years old. change the tranny fluid and make sure the clutch is good and the clutch hydraulics are ok (no leaks and master cyl fine) and you've done as much as you can realistically do.

yea, the clutch has 7,000 miles on it, same with the master cylinder, and the slave has about 50 miles on it, so its all pretty new, im gettin it checked out in a week or 2, so there is nothing i can do, b/c i really hate that grinding noise
does it grind EVERYtime you shift? is there anything you can do to prevent it?
eventually you'll completely wear down the gear, and you won't have 3rd gear anymore...not cool. if everythign else in the car is ok, you might be able to find a decent tranny at the scrappers.

I have used GM synchromesh on some customer cars, I have also heard of people using it in hondas a lot, I am going to use it on my 89 lude si when i change it. It helps smooth shifts a lot, But does not reverse damage.
The only true fix is new synchro's.

My 94 Prelude is doing the same damn thing... sux doesnt it? well from what i heard is before you start spending money on syncrosm, try the GM synchromesh friction modified tranny fluid. It mite work... Im going to try it in a couple days.
