i got one home dept style. cost a total of $12 and its easy and fun! depending of the spring rate of the spring it will have different characteristics. the harder it is, the more boost risies per each turn. mine is real senstitive, i can go raise the boost more than 8 lbs in one turn of the ****.
anyways i really like it. before i would get 12 psi at 6k, now i get 12 psi at 4k!

I made mine from a local hardware store. It's alright i guess for $4, but i'm going to buy a real one soon. It fluctuates way too much. Mines alittle different from the link above. It uses a brass T with two nipple ends and a bolt to adjust the spring pressure. Maybe i just need to try another spring. Mine will go up like 3-4 psi every 1/4 turn.

I did the mod in the link I posted above...I think it cost me like $10 in parts from McMaster and I had a machine shop drill the small hole for $10...so basically $20 and I have a trick little MBC...

I upped boost to 8 psi (on my gauge) from 3 and there is no spiking issues really. I do notice from my datalogs that boost does creep from 8 down to maybe 7...but the spool seems a touch quicker.

I have an extra if anyone wants to buy it off me...
