Default HELP? Tial 35mm wastegate w/12 psi spring but I only want 6-8 PSI right now

I got a b18b and im going to be using a T3/T04E 57 trim .63 a/r turbine,
I have a 12 PSI spring in my 35mm Tial Wastegate. What does this mean?
Can I choose to run only 6 PSI if I would like to by using a boost controller or something? maybe 8 later but i want to stay away from the 12 PSI for right now as i'd like my internals done before that amount or higher boost. I want to stay conservative.

So far i havent been able to understand what the boost spring does, or how it's bypassed with a boost controller, my thoughts might be way off, can someone gice me a descriptive rundown and point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

you need to get a new spring. your spring is the lowest amount of boost you can run. a boost controller can only boost MORE than or equal to the spring rate.

I have a small green spring ( 0.5 bar ) 7 psi , I will trade with you if you want.

I need your large spring to combine with another small one I have to make around 17-18 psi

is it from a tial 38 mm wastegate, the 35mm and 38mm use the same springs,
I need this pretty soon ( I must have in my hand by the 20th of this month) .
All both of us need to do is undo the allen head bolts and remove the spring.
installation is the inverse ,install spring and reassemble.

Pro turbo kits here told me that they would trade me a 4 or 5 PSI spring for my 12 psi one, I think that might be a good deal. I just got my wastegate yesterday evening. I think i'll just do that. I appreciate the help though, and im glad there are people on here willing to help another.
Thanks again,
now should a 4 or 5 psi spring be ok, if later I want to use a boost controller and up it to say, 10 PSI? can i stick with the 4 psi spring in not, how much PSI can i up it befroe i have to use a higher load spring? Thanks
