well if ur pulling out the passenger axle id drain the fluid first and make sure u got air tools or a long pipe for the axle nut.

I will tell you that you don't need a pickle fork for the lower ball joint. take a look at it, there are areas on either side of the cup where the ball joint mounts that honda put there to be smacked with a hammer. a couple o' good whacks and it usually pops free. No damage to ball joint boots and no need to buy a ball joint tool.

10w30 should be fine...but fill it up with some Honda MTF or GM Syncromesh when you have the time...

you need a 32mm socket to take off the nut on the end of the axle. Also a ball joint seperator and 14mm socket 17mm socket and 17mm wrench. I think that covers it all maybe a 4 way to take off your lug nuts.. Also maybe a hammer.

I've never had to drain my fluid when changing axles.

i have an 88 crx si, and all the tools i used were:

open/closed wrenches:
(2) 17 mm
(2) 14 mm

socket wrenches:
(1) 17 mm
(1) 32 mm

you'll also need a breaker bar to get the hub nut off and a counter...its about an hour or an hour and half to get it done...i've just done mine...

don't forget you'll need a torque wrench too...its not so hard, have fun...

Hit it harder with a bigger hammer...then if that doesn't work, use a balljoint seperator, but take care not to tear or cut the boot on the balljoint.

A 32 mm socket is absolutely necessary. If your hammer isn't working correctly, you obviously need a bigger hammer.
