Default need help changing axle

i have a 95 civic with a b18c and my passenger axle boot is leaking.i have to change the axle because i feel like doing it instead of messing with cv boots and ****. but anyway: how hard is it? i know i have to drain the tranny fluid and i am not worried about that because i wanted to change my tranny fluid anyway. but what else do i have ot know? i have already done a drivers' side one in my car and in my friends car this past weekend and it is pretty easy especially after i used my car as the learning experience but we did it in about 30 minutes. the hardest thing is just getting the side bolted the the intermediate shaft off but after that it is cake. but i have heard that changing the passenger side axle is different and much more difficult. what advice can you guys give me? what special things do i have to know to change the other axle? let me know

you need a 32mm socket and a long *** breaker bar...take off the axel nut, then take off a castle nut right by were the rotor is located ....take the axel out from the rotor and then pry out the axel from the tranny....fairly easy...or get a service manual and learn.... good luck

If you can change the driver side with intermidiate shaft, you should be fine . Don't forget something to break the balljoints loose.

when i did the driver's side axle i just tapped it off where it was bolted on the the intermediate shaft. on the passenger side, am i supposed to do the same thing to get it off? just tap it off? so there is nothing different about the sides since i didn't change the intermediate shaft when i did the drivers side? so you saying that the passenger side is exactly the same? thanks for your help guys

because some one told me about some clip i have to replace or something like that but i wasn't sure what they were talking about since there was no clip on the drivers' side. all i did was remove everything out of the way to get it off and then i just tapped the drivers side axle off and then i just put slid the new axle in and put everything back together. so am i missing something?

It sounds like it`s stuck, I`ve had the same issues before, just beat it w/ a dead blow hammer(made from rubber) or a mallet(not a mullet, LoL) and It`ll break free...Beat it, just beat it

basically...pretty simple stuff. Just make sure you don't rip the transmission seal when you pry out the old axle. If you have a pickle fork, use it to pry the axle out of the transmission. It works very well.
