Default smoke from breather hose????

I have had my integra turboed for 6 or 7 mounths with really no problems. I got a 99 Ls still running the stock injectors, stock exhaust , 12:1 FMU,and intake fuel pump. So anyway I was on my way to work driving hella fast on the freeway when my car pritty much shut off after I let off the gas because It felt like it lost power like your head would tilt foward. I roled off the exit and parked it and poped my hood there was a lot of white smoke commig outta the breather tube and same when I took the oil cap off. I also got a greddy profec B now running 10psi abought 2weeks ago.now It is still running enough to cruse around town but there is still alot of smoke puffing outta the breather tube event at idle . what do you think this is???

Stock injectors on 10lbs..no no. You could have a hole in your piston i think. Someone correct me if i am wrong. When I was doing a search for a friend that is what came up.

Check to see if your PCV valve pop off the Black breather box.

I've been there and it isn't pretty. Yes, it's your ringlands.

I put a cap on the pvc valve abought a mounth ago because I figured that I dident need two breather holes on the valve cover. before that I had them both running down the back of the motor. but na it wasent poped off

Why?!?!?! You have to relive the crakn pressure some how. One vent generally is not enuff. Would agree with the others, ringlands toasted. Blowby going to bottom end and going out the breather hose.

Is it me or does that make no sense at all?

And yea I agree with the others; cracked piston ring lands. Get ready for a rebuild $$$$

time to rebuild , same **** happened to me , does it sound like a wrx yet?

and you shouldnt have blocked one nipple off the pcv , thats most likely what caused it.

Hey, i am going thru the same stuff too. My d16 (greddy turbo kit, walbro fuel pump, greddy emange, 310cc, fmic, turboXS bov) is ticking like crazy. There is smoke coming out of the oil cap, dipstick tube and the pcv. I am lookin into getting some suzuki vitara pistons to fix my problem. Hey, might as well replace the pistons, when everything is already out. i'll keep u guys updated.

I ran 8.8psi on stock injectors and a fmu and fuel pump and my motor said, "bye bye ringlands"

hahaha...I still feel the effects of my blown ringlands...Oh and I smell it coming from my breather. Hate to tell ya, but it's gone. I loved tohe Scobby sound from mine. I thuoght it was funky. You can still boost on it, but 1 if not 3 are gone. My motor had 1 good piston left. Good luck, that's why I hate boost on Stock motors now.....

damn, so to fix this alls im gonna need is new ring not pistons? I would like to do the work my self but I have never worked on the internals of a motor. Allthough I do know hondas good and have swaped trannys and motors meny of times. I pritty much got abought a grand to fix this So my choices are a b20 long block, fix the motor I got with rods pistons or what ever I can get for the money and I ony got 54xxx miles on it 6xxx are turbo miles. whats the best rought

no you need pistons , ringlands are the pieces of metal in the piston that hold the rings in place , if they break ,you need pistons.

best route is to build your setup and build it right . nowadays , i wouldnt recoment building a motor without sleeving it , sleevings becoming more and more common. if you throw pistons and rods in , youll think your motor is invincible and boost 25lbs , and end up cracking a sleeve ,so you might as well do it right!

Pluging you Pcv wouldnt have mattered under boost...Its a one way valve and as soon as it sees presure it will close anyways....you should have just taken it off and put an open hose from the bre4ather box............

if you screwed up your ringlands you cant just but new pistons in..its going to have to go to a machine shop and maybe get bored a little and honed and your going to have to buy oversized pistons and rings....

new rods bearings...Ls motors dont cost sht..jsut buy another one for 300$...
