AlarmPower Connected to Ignition
My friend installed my compustar and the power is connected to the ignition. Quite a few times, the alarm forgets the turbo timer mode and it is resetted to its defaults. Would this be due to power connected to ignition? He's installed the compustars on quite a few tiburons through the ignition and has had no problems. So my question is... is there continuous power through the ignition or should I reroute the connection to the battery? Thanks.
yes there is continuous power... where do you think the key cylinder gets it's power to do the accessory, ignition, and starter wires? The question is did he tag the power wire into the correct wire under the dash?
i think he did, he tested the wire with a tester. Wonder why my alarm does this then? Any ideas? Also, when my alarm is armed, the next time i go to the car and disarm it, the siren is on, very faintly and I disarm the car and on my remote it still says its armed and I have to end up either opening and closing my door a few times or try to start the car for the soft siren to turn off and then the alarm is back to normal. wtf? i had the brain replaced once already. it seems like the alarm only works properly when it wants to!! i need help!! thanks again
