The Greddy turbo kit lists for '97-'99 Prelude Non SH but it's goin on a '01 Non SH. It seems that the e-manage that comes with the kit will cause it to run rich.... if there is already a VAFC installed.. cant we just adjust for the extra fuel?

I wouldnt use both the blue box/Emanage that GReddy comes with....Just use the VAFC

 

so what do i hook up from the Greddy kit? do i just leave the blue box out and not get the e-manage and just tune from the VAFC?

Just use the VAFC.....its a hack and a easy way out but it will work

 

so i dont hook up the blue box? then how will the maps read boost? doesnt hte prelude need the blue box or something in order to read boost?

 

I say , stay away from using the VAFC hack.. you CANNOT tune the ignition map with it. And as a matter of fact if you do your research you will find that the VAFC hack causes the ignition to get fully advanced under boost, which is not cool. With e-manage you can tune both the fuel AND ignition maps , making the motor more reliable and LESS prone to detonation.
