Default Minor shop problem, any suggestions?

Took my car to Midas about a week ago to get my overheating and idle problems fixed (I was too fed up with my car at the time to do any work on it..just sick of it) Anyways they do a diognistic and found out that it was my ground wire on my radiator fan, and that the vaccum hose that was leaking was behind the IM and under the brake booster...anyways, they wanted to do more "investigating" and charge me another 80 some bucks to dig deeper into the problem...so I said no, so they stopped. Get my car back to realize that my CD player won't even turn on. I call him the next day and tell him that it wouldn't turn on, and they said that the only thing they did was turn it off, yet it worked perfectly fine before then. He also mentioned that it was "my problem, not theirs" and that they weren't going to fix it...any suggestions?

Oh, I know how boring it is. I haven't had a CD player since I got my car back from it's wreck. About 1.5 months.

i hope those idiots disconnected the battery b4 operating on any ground wire. If not, they might have fried something in the wiring harness. any dash lights going crazy or not working properly? get a light tester (has a metal rod that looks like an icepick to stick to power and a seperate ground check the radio harness for power.
