Default Motor goes flat at 4 grand.

I just installed CTR cams with ITR springs, had my head ported and polished along with a Quaife LSD on my first gen B16. Along with having probs with my clutch being stupid, my motor goes "flat" at 4 grand and when ever I give it more then 40% throttle (I have a VAFC to check my throttle postion). I give it gas and it just stops, doesnt detonate, sputters a lil, and doesnt move. When I hit the "flat" spot, it kinda throws me forward. I have no idea.

Could this be cam timing? I had my head milled 15 thousands and I have my cam gears both at zero. I know I have to make up for the head being milled. Do I advance or retard the gears? at idle my ignition timing is at 16 BTDC.

Any ideas? I know its hard to diagnose a problem over the computer but Im just looking for ideas. Im still learning about this stuff

Thanks
Matt

Sounds like you're in limp mode. Check the ECU for codes.

Think maybe I could be running lean? I talked to some guy and he said its posible since I had the head ported and polished that Im takin in more air than fuel. When the motor goes "flat" my A/F gauge goes lean. Like I said, it happens after about 40% throttle. Maybe thats the point where Im bringing in more air and my fuel cant keep up.

Dont know for sure either, just throwin out some ideas.
