Default civic got jacked, need ultra techie assistance

My hatch got broken into, and the ******** took the valve cover and literally tore the cams out of the head and screwed the whole thing up. I got a b16 head so i could get the car back on the road as soon as possible. I had a honda technician install it, and the car starts up fine but when you give it gas the engine bogs down and turns off. There were 5 techs looking into the problem but they had no idea what was wrong with it. Just wondering if anyone has run into this issue or if someone could give me some ideas of what the problem may be. I forgot to note that the motor is a b18c now with a b16 head. Also when i bring it to 5000 rpm and it starts to bog, try to force it with a little more gas it and it makes a back firing sound out of the throttle body.

B18C & B16A OBD1 distributors are exactly alike, as are OBD2 B16A & B18C distributors.

B18 (LS) distributors are not that same as B16A/B18C distributors though.

No, I haven't tried a new distributer. Yet now when I think about it they did force the cams out of the distributer side of the head it's possible that they F****** it up. I'll look into that thanks...

It turns out that I was sold a head that is obd0 not obd1. The head was on a ls vtech setup now i got oil spraying everywhere & Iguess i need to take out a plug that was put in for ls vtech & now i am very dis-satisfied. JDM **** .com sold me this head saying that it would be a direct bolt on to a jdm gsr block still having nothing but problems.

hmm...
well, if this is any conselation, any year B16A head CAN directly bolt onto a B18C block. I duno what to tell you about the oil spraying everywhere, perhaps you forgot to put something important back on, but the oil spray bars from your GSR heead will fit on the B16A head as well as the mounting bolts that hold down the oil spray bars.

The hole in the head for the oil passage was plugged is what he was saying.
