will 2 way 3 way or 4way speakers iliminate the need for tweeters?

Default will 2 way 3 way or 4way speakers iliminate the need for tweeters?

just wondering, i have all one way 6 inches and my tweeters burnt up, im thinking of getting some 2 way pioneers that are in my friends evolution and not bothering with tweeters?

well essentially what a 2-way speaker is is a midrange driver wiht a tweeter build in. All of these 3-way and 4-way sets are jsut rediculous. I see no need to go wiht anything more than a 2-way. Anything more is jsut marketing.

In my opinion if you're looking for some decent sound quality, I'd go with a set of components because they are generally higher quality and have much better crossovers.

I'll third that. More drivers does not equal better sound. I'd say in the case of a coaxial with cheap crossovers, it probably would be worse.

Nice. I've got a more humble Polk LSi/NAD C320BEE/Sony cheapo DVD/LAT MKII/AQ Type 4+ setup. Sounds pretty good actually.

can't aford compnents yet, thinking of sone 2 way infinity references, any thoughts of those?
