replaced fast idle valve, still have problems
after doing my h22 swap i had a crazy idle. it would rapidly rev to 2k drop to 1k and repeat. i finally decided to replace the fast idle valve, and that has helped. now when i have the clutch in and coasting it will idle around 2100 rpms. when i stop it will hold at 2100 rpms for a few seconds then slowly work its way down to 1100-1500 rpms.
any suggestions on this?
thanks

when i check my TPS what do i need to check for? how is the best way to check it?
i will check for vaccum leaks. that sounds good. IAC valve and AIS motor, what are they and where are they at?
thanks for the help.

idle air control valve- air idle speed motor
take a look at this picture

i believe #17 ais motor and #14 is the iac valve
i could be wrong though, they call both of them valves at
the bottom of the page. either way they're both near the im

i had the same problems. check TPS and Idle Air Control Valve (IACV). u ll have to get a volt meter for tps and for the iacv see if any of ur friends have a prelude and swap the part out and see if that helps.

hey cool thanks for the help. getting a volt meter is not a problem. i will check it out. i guess its time to get out the helms and read. yippie
#17 in that diagram is hte iacv
#14 i want to say is for the bypass valves
check #17 for buildup spray some carb cleaner on the screen inside it then spray carb cleaner along the vac lines and see if your idle changes.. if it does you have a leak where you just sprayed it
