Is This A SCAM?
All right, there is an "aero-turbine" exhaust that claims it makes your car more fuel efficient, give your car more torque, HP, engine life, and keeps it running cooler. Now I'm thinkin about buyin one, but do you think it's a scam?
Does anyone already have one?

As far as a scam to take your money, no. Those 2 old men on there have their own TV show and i doubt they would sponsor a BS product. But to me it looks like something that eases exaust flow. More power is made when more air is forced in the engine so if this adds anything is problably 1-2 HP and improves gas mileage. Along with an empty pocket.
Don't know if its a scam but this sounds a bit shady...

Break-in Time
Late model cars and trucks are computer controlled to such an extent that it may take a period of time (600-800 miles) before the computer reprograms to reflect the improved flow characteristics of your new Aeroturbine exhaust system.
The distinctive look of the Aeroturbine is a common sight on racecars as well as the hottest street cars. The installation of an Aeroturbine will not affect your factory warranty.

Plus how would somthing on the exhaust pipe force more air into the engine?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Thats the thing, its not forcing anything in the engine. Maybe frees up exaust flow allowing the exaust fumes to exit the combustion chamber easier, but like i said, its not gonna add noticable power. Its just another product put out there to lure people into buying it and wasting there money. Much like the Banjo Mino...........piece of **** banjo...........

although a rotating wheel in the exhaust system is going to be DRIVEN by the gasses being expelled, in theory the only time in the 4stroke cycle that this could even have a slight chance to work would be during valve overlap. BUT the wheel would have to be spinning at extremly high rpms to be even slightly effective, IMHO it is highly inplausable for this system to give any performance gains, maybe it is slightly restrictive at lower rpms accelerating.
Personally I would only buy somthing like this if somone I knew had dyno'd i

It's a simple airfoil in the exhaust. It increases the exhaust's velocity by spinning it with the airfoil. I doubt that there would be any significant increase in output, but I guess anything is better than stock?
The only thing I would question is if worked "too good" and eliminated the necessary back pressure needed for the scavenging effect in most N/A applications.
IMHO, anything in the exhaust path is a restriction.
