any power from a testpipe only???

any power from a testpipe only???
i did a search but didnt find anything, im trying to find out if i get or lose any power if i run just a straight 4' testpipe replacing the cat and resonator, not muffler, the motor is stock jdm itr, now i have heard people say that u lose power if u run straight header on a stock motor, i dont know if its true or not, so just tryin to see if the testpipe will help.......thanx in advance...

yeah...and some people think itll make you stink after driving your car. i dont smell any worse than i normally do and even drive my car on dates and my gf never says anything. it will give your car a more buzzy sound however

oh ok, well i was planing on puttin a muffler on for daily driving and then when i go out to race or to the track i could just unbolt it and run straight pipe......
