is ok to run my stock 92 civic with no muffler?....or will it effect the motor because of the lack of backpressure..

Why would you want to do that? For more noise?

It would be fine, but you would loose power.

Lose power, not to my knowlege, but I could be wrong. I did that before I got an aftermarket exhaust except I took mine off at the CAT. I, like you, just did it for noise and because that small little muffler looked too sick for me to stand. My suggestion would be to get an aftermarket exhaust because it will not only give you better flow, people can usually tell very easily that a car is just running with no muffler compared to someone who has a 2" or 3" pipe.

I don't think he'll lose power, keep in mind he'll still have his stock resonator and cat in there before his exhaust magnanimously vents itself into the atmosphere.

Don't do it just to be a menace. Stupid **** like that is why certain areas have strict laws on cars and how they have to be completely stock.

You won't gain any net power, and you may loose low-end because of a lack of backpressure.

You would think they would be stricter on motor cycles for that reason.

YES I UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WANT THEM LOUD SO THEY ARE NOTICED.
