quick o2 sensor question

quick o2 sensor question
i am doing an obd1 b18c1 swap into my 90 si hatch can i use an obd2 o2 sensor in the cat? basically what im asking is are their any differences between the two?

Um, I dont think that would be just a direct bolt in. Most of the modern o2 sensors (obd2) are heated. So they have 2 wires going to them. If your civic is like my 88 crx Si, then the o2 sensor only has one wire.

see the problem is i am doing an entire change over for getting my bar sticker...so i am running a complete obd1 gsr including the cat. which is where the o2 sensor goes... i cant just go buy the o2 sensor because it will come without the connectors which i dont have...i have an obd2 sensor available to me i just need to know if they are compatible....i know it will fit i just dont know if it is wired the same....somebody here has to know this...help me please....

obd0 and 92-95 cx uses one wire, 92+ non-vx/hx use 4wire o2, 92+ vx/hx use 5wire o2..
basically it depends on the ecu you'll be running, if you're getting a conversion harness to run an obd1 ecu.. then 4wire o2 it is.. if you're using an obd0 computer, then get a 1wire o2.
although you said you're trying to ref it.. so at least you have to get the obd1 gsr stuff.. obd0->obd1 conversion harness (i got one ), and 4wire o2 (got a few of those too.. but they're used of course).
the wiring has been covered on more than one occasion.. search, or..
