Default Hondata Maps

I did a search but didnt find what i was looking for.

I have a JDM B18C-R in my hatch and I am running the S100. However I had the car tuned but it doesnt feel as fast/strong as it did when I ran a Mugen chipped P28 ecu. The only reason I got rid of that was because with hondata I could do away with the Pressure switch that is missing from the type r engine. Otherwise I would throw a CEL and lose Vtec.

My question is where can I get a Mugen or Spoon map uploaded into my Hondata chipped ECU? What would I need if I wanted to upload it myself?

heh, you could always go back to your Mugen chipped P28 cuz there's an easy fix for the missing VTPS on JDM OBD2 engines.

All you gotta do is splice the VTPS power wire into the VT solenoid wire, then take the VTPS ground wire and ground it somewhere on the body of the VTEC solenoid ... presto ... no more code 22.

Unfortunately I traded it for another P28 and $100 so I could go with Hondata. I really think the car ran better with the Mugen program. Seems like the Hondata map I have is pulling timing or something. Feels slow compared to the mugen.

So does anyone know where I can aquire such maps for my S100?

have you had your hondata taken to a tuner and had them tune it?

its not a bolt on.. you just cant install and "gain" off the bat.. it has to be tuned and thats when you will see your gains..

also, you could check and have a new basemap burned, not sure who did yours. .but if they arent that good, they could of gave you a basic stock map and thats why its different

I had it dyno tuned and put down 172hp at the end from a starting point of 158 I believe it was. But it still feels nothing at all like the damn Mugen chipped ecu I got rid of. Stupid=Me

normally those chips offer crazy redlines and low or different vtec engagement..

maybe change your vtec engagement point

Vtec comes on at 5500rpm's. With the mugen chip it was 5800rpms.

your car might not feel stronger.

vtec kicks in late around 5800-6100 rpm stock.

if it kicks in early it doesn't mean your car is faster they are tuned to high rpm not low rpm.

maybe because its making power their at high rpm.
