Hondata s200 socketing questions
Ok...I have a p28 ecu with a mugen chip in it (socketed in). I bought an s200 model w/ datalogging and I am going to get it all tuned up by church auto testing up in torrance and he told me that he doesnt prepare the ecu.
What do I have to do to get my ecu ready for hondata tuning?? I know i have to desolder the old chip out and socket in the new one from hondata...right?? Then there is something about the 4-pin connector?? This is where I start to get lost.
If I have someone socket my ecu for me...can i still drive it for a week until i get it tuned or will it be undrivable until i go to see church. Is my best bet to buy a virgin p28 and go from there??
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Dude... I am doing the same thing. I have a P28 that I am trying to get socketed, I have tried to find someone to do it for me.(with no luck) The best bet is to send it to Hondata. So get a virgin P28 and send that one. Hondata doesn't charge that much,(its kinda late, and I forgot what they quoted me) and they told me it would be about a week. I bought my P28 off of Ebay for about 135 shipped. They are all over the place.

If it's allready got a socket installed, just pull out the chip and install your new one.
