Default 200 hp SOHC on 15g?

I'm gunning for 200whp on a 15g greddy turbo on a stock block. Do you guys think it is possible. Here is the setup list. D15B sohc vtec with factory LSD tranny, greddy 92-95 turbo kit, greddy intercooler, rc 550cc injectors, walbro 255lph fuel pump, test pipe, thermal R&D classic cat back. The engine will be tuned using hondata and boost dialed in with a profec b. Do you guys see this engine holding 12psi on this turbo or am I looking at a huge risk even with a good tune? Has anyone hit 200whp on a similar setup?

You will make your goal easily, don't forget 1 stage coldr plugs. That turbo max's out around 250whp or around 15psi.

The 13g in the wrx's max out around 220-230 so a 15g can definately make that power.

Even though the turbo can handle around 250whp at 15psi will the block be able to take that?

200whp no problem well tuned after that it gets sketchy upto 220whp reasonably reliable, from there on cross your fingers and hope. From what I'm guessing this is your first taste of boost 170whp in a light car is fun.

the biggest issue you'll run into is the d15 rods and crank are crappy. they tend to break easier than the d16. the d16 has larger rods and crank.

As said, w/proper tuning yes. Depending upon the age of the internals, I would seriously doubt that the rings will make it for too long at that amount of pressure.

So would you recommend I run 10psi max and just be happy with whatever numbers it gives me for reliability reasons? Even if I did run 12psi though it wouldn't be daily. I want to do 7-8 daily and bring it up for races.

There was a member on this board that made I think 202whp @ 10 psi on a d15b... I'm not sure if he still visits the site but I know he used to be on turbod16 also... He had a white hatch.

Someone w/more mechanical knowledge will have to answer how to check the integrity of your stock engine. I would guess that a compression test will give you an indication. IMO 7-8 psi for daily driving is very doable w/your fuel setup.

I didn't know the WRX only uses a 13g.

Check numbers in sig. That was on a 15g kit on a y7 stock block.
