Default help with my turbo

ok, heres the story. i bought my kit (drag gen 4) for my prelude used and had a hell of a time putting it on cuz nothing lined up right and alot of things where missing. well after i finished, the turbo smokes or burns oil so im guessing a bad seal. my lude is my only car and i live 20 miles from work so i have to drive it.

well for a week or two it was fine until i hit 5psi (my set boost) after 5 it would start ticking. so i thought it was my wastegate so i bought a new tial and it would still do it so im thinking its the turbo. now for a week or so the turbo ticks all the time no matter what boost. i still read boost and it still pulls but i just have this really annoying ticking noise all the time. i had a friend tell me mabie its a bad bearing in my turbo. i dunno. any idea's anyone?

well my question is, do any of you know where i can get my turbo rebuilt? if there is a thing? or dose anybody have a t3/t4 or just a t3 i can buy off them? the ticking is really starting to get anoying almost making me not wanna drive my car cuz people keep giving me weird looks. thanks

Our turbo guys at http://www.agpturbo.com can rebuild it for you. Tell them you were referred by Solid Tech. If it's smoking really bad, pull the plugs and look for oil, if there isn't any oil on the plugs it's the turbo (rather than rings or valve stem seals). The other way to know for sure is to take the plugs out right after turning off the car when it was smoking. If oil smoke comes out of a plug hole it's the turbo (smoke coming back up through the open valve in the head)......
