clutch problems
ok just finished my swap and go to bleed the clutch, just as the manual dictates.........no luck can't get any pressure .........pedal goes down and stays down. so i changed the master cylinder, no change..........my question is does anyone have anymore ideas on wuts wrong?
yea no leaks in the line............i am gonna change the slave cylinder today if that doesn't work the guy i bought the motor from is gonna get a phone call from me
is the clutch installed propperly, release bearing, disc (i installed a bully clutch and the hub was installed on the disc backwards), are you shure everything is good inside?
Um just a reminder when the clutch line has no pressure in it it will go to the floor and stay there. You have to manually lift the pedal back up in the beginning to send the fluid and build pressure. After a while the pedal will return on its own.

the last time i changed a slave, it was a two person job and i pushed the pedal down and pulled it up with my hand, we filled the resivoire, pushed down with the bleeder open, then at the bottom of the pedal stroke we closed the bleeder. it took about four shots and it was good to go.
Without more information, I gotta suspect you didn't bleed it properly. If you didn't bench-bleed the master, then just keep trying. Sometimes it can be difficult to get air out from the master. Sometimes if you lift the pedal too quickly, you can suck air in?? Pump smoothly in both directions.
Thanks Jim- I did all you suggested and was unsuccessful. After pumping the clutch (many attempts), I don't get any pressure in the clutch, and a small amount of fluid comes out the bleed. What should I try next ? Should I just take it in to a pro ?

My Saab clutch has to be reverse bled, check out this procedure.

That slave cylinder is down inside the bell housing, & the brake & clutch share the same reservoir. Take that into consideration but otherwise its sorta the same.
